Golf Hour Swings Open at Oakview Commons in Holly Springs with Grand Opening Celebration
Grand opening on Saturday, August 23, 2025, features a full day of events, competitions, and community activities.
Holly Springs, NC, Aug. 21, 2025 — Holly Springs has a new destination for golf enthusiasts and sports fans alike. Golf Hour, located at 131 Oakview Commons Drive, officially celebrates its grand opening on Saturday, August 23, 2025, with a full day of events, competitions, and community activities. The festivities start at 10:00 a.m. and run until 10:00 p.m.
Owner Greg Jones, Jr. will welcome guests with a lineup that includes free cupcakes for the first 72 visitors, open-bay play in the morning, multisport demos, long drive and closest-to-the-pin competitions, and a free beer tasting courtesy of Advintage Distribution. The “That’s a Goood Burger” food truck (link) will be on-site from Noon until 4:00 p.m., and college football will be featured throughout the day across the venue’s eleven televisions.
Jones said the vision for Golf Hour is about bringing world-class golf experiences closer to home. “We wanted to create a space where it doesn’t matter if it’s raining, too hot, or too cold — you can still enjoy playing some of the best courses in the world without having to travel far,” Jones explained.
Golf Hour features advanced golf simulators that allow players to tee off on iconic courses across the globe, while also offering multisport options ranging from frisbee golf to baseball to soccer. The facility aims to appeal to both serious golfers looking to refine their skills and families seeking a fun outing.
Among pre-grand opening golfers playing this week was Raleigh resident Tobias Bennett, who made the trip to check out the new facility with friends from the 12 Oaks neighborhood. “This place is impressive,” Bennett said. “It’s nice to have a high-quality golf facility like this located close to friends. The option of indoor versus outdoors is nice to have when you don’t want to deal with the heat. I can see myself coming back often.”
The grand opening marks another milestone for Oakview Commons, the growing commercial hub in Holly Springs. With its mix of technology, competition, and social space, Golf Hour is positioned as both a practice ground and another gathering spot for the community.
