Where and How to Vote in Tuesday’s Municipal Elections: A Guide for Holly Springs, Apex & Fuquay-Varina Residents
Polls open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday across Wake County as voters in Holly Springs, Apex and Fuquay-Varina choose mayors and town boards that will shape growth, development and local priorities.
Holly Springs, NC, Nov. 3, 2025 — Tomorrow is Election Day for voters in Holly Springs, Apex, and Fuquay-Varina, where residents will decide on key leadership positions that influence everything from road projects and park investments to downtown development and small-business growth.
Polls open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Any voter in line by 7:30 p.m. will be allowed to cast a ballot.
Where to Vote
You must vote in person at your assigned polling place on Election Day. You can verify your voting location using the official lookup tool on the North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBE) website (click here).
Bring an acceptable photo ID: for example, a North Carolina driver’s licence, U.S. passport, or a state-issued voter ID card. Voters without ID may still vote after completing an ID Exception Form at the polling place.

All races are non-partisan (party affiliation does not appear on the ballot), and you may vote for any candidate regardless of your registration.
Already Voted? Check Whether Your Early Vote Was Received
If you voted early in person, you can confirm your ballot was received and accepted. Go to the NCSBE voter search tool (click here), enter required information, press search, then scroll to the section “Your Ballot: By Mail or Early Voting.”
When your vote has been accepted, the “Voting Method” will show EARLY VOTING, the “Ballot Status” will show VALID RETURN, and the “Vote Status” will show ACCEPTED. This status is typically updated by the day after you cast your ballot.

Avoid wearing campaign gear inside your polling site. State law prohibits political apparel or literature within 50 feet of the entrance.
