Holly Springs, NC, Aug. 21, 2025 — The Wake County Democratic Party (WCDP) this week announced its endorsements for the upcoming November 4, 2025, municipal elections, fielding Democratic candidates in 32 of 34 races across Wake County. In the remaining two contests, Unaffiliated incumbents are running with the support of their Democratic colleagues.
Party officials said the endorsement process followed established guidelines requiring candidates to apply, submit questionnaires, participate in interviews as needed, and sign WCDP’s Candidate Expectations Agreement to accept an endorsement formally.
“We are confident the slate of endorsed candidates will deliver for their communities and advance our shared values,” WCDP leaders said in their release on Facebook (link). “We look forward to electing all of them this fall and affirming Wake County’s commitment to equity, opportunity, and a future where everyone belongs.”
