Holly Springs, NC, Nov. 7, 2026 — Homes sold in Holly Springs, Apex and Fuquay-Varina carried a median price of $545,000 in September, well above Wake County’s $450,000 median. Across the three towns, 283 homes sold at an average price of about $593,000, with individual sales ranging from $115,000 to $1.75 million.
Apex accounted for more than half of those transactions, recording 158 sales at a median price of $589,000. Many of the homes sold were newly built. Holly Springs had fewer sales but the highest median price: Its 45 transactions had a midpoint of $665,000, with the largest sale reaching about $1.4 million on Evergreen Hill Drive.
Fuquay-Varina had the lowest median price of the three towns at about $469,000 across 80 sales. Its transactions also included homes selling for more than $1 million, led by a property on Hilltop Bluffs Court that sold for about $1.26 million.
The local sales came amid slower activity statewide and nationally. North Carolina closed about 11 percent fewer home sales than a year earlier, while its median price rose 0.7 percent to $370,000. Nationally, homes going under contract fell 7.3 percent from August. Wake County’s median price rose $10,000 to $450,000, even as property sales declined by 222 to 5,969.
