WEATHER ADVISORY
Winter Storm Warning for South Wake County
Friday, January 30 – Sunday, February 1
A significant winter storm is expected to impact Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Apex, and surrounding South Wake communities beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through early Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from 4:00 p.m. Friday through 7:00 a.m. Sunday, with forecasters calling for heavy snow and dangerous travel conditions across the region. Residents are strongly urged to complete travel and preparations early and to avoid being on the roads once conditions deteriorate.
Snow is expected to begin late Friday afternoon, intensify overnight, and continue through Saturday, with lingering impacts into early Sunday.
