Launch Holly Springs Celebrates Success at Town Council Meeting
Organizers provide update on program’s impact on local entrepreneurs, mentorship efforts, and future expansion plans.
Holly Springs, NC, Feb. 20, 2025 — The Launch Holly Springs program was highlighted at the recent Holly Springs Town Council meeting, where organizers updated the program’s impact on local entrepreneurs, mentorship efforts, and future expansion plans. Since its inception, the initiative has played a key role in helping small business owners gain critical skills, build connections, and access funding opportunities, all to strengthen the local economy.
During the meeting, program leaders highlighted the recent graduation of its seventh cohort, bringing the total number of entrepreneurs trained to over 110. Participants complete a 10-week program on essential business topics, including financial management, marketing, and strategic growth. According to program data, over 80% of Launch Holly Springs graduates remain in business after two years, a significantly higher survival rate than the national average for small businesses.
One of the program's most critical elements is its mentorship component, which connects entrepreneurs with experienced business professionals and community leaders. More than 150 mentors have volunteered their time, offering guidance on business planning, networking, and securing funding. Many graduates credit these one-on-one relationships with helping them navigate key challenges and accelerate growth.
Program organizers also outlined their future goals, which include expanding cohort sizes and adding specialized workshops on e-commerce, social media marketing, and securing investment capital. They are also strengthening partnerships with local businesses and financial institutions to increase participants' access to funding opportunities.
The application period for the next cohort opens in July, with information sessions available for prospective participants. Entrepreneurs interested in applying must meet eligibility criteria, including residency or business operation within Holly Springs or surrounding areas, the ability to provide a product or service for profit and a demonstrated need for financial and business resources.
