Thank you for this story and always keeping us updated re town happenings. I very much appreciate it. I'm wondering why the story did not include the salaries of the Duke executives. It seems germane to note that the CEO made over 20M dollars total compensation in 2024 and the rest of the executive team's total compensation is in the millions too (if internet research can be trusted, of course). Saying with a straight face that they need to raise rates so significantly while simultaneously taking such large compensation packages is something both the public and the regulators should be aware of and weighing, to confirm if that is the right move as part of Duke Energy's social contract with the state and their customers.
