Holly Springs, NC, Jan. 25, 2026 — Inclement weather and bad road conditions have prompted local officials to cancel many activities and offices tomorrow across Wake County. Here’s a list to help residents plan their day.
Wake County Schools
Wake County Schools are closed for traditional-calendar students tomorrow due to a previously scheduled teacher workday. All athletic and extracurricular events scheduled for Monday are canceled. Year-round and non-traditional students will have a remote learning day (more info). Please refer to the Wake County Public School System website for more information.
Local Governments
Holly Springs
Holly Springs facilities, including Town Hall and Parks & Recreation facilities (Hunt Recreation Center, Bass Lake Park, Cultural Center), are closed Monday, January 26th, due to inclement weather and road conditions.

Due to icy road conditions, all Fuquay-Varina town facilities are closed on Monday, January 26. This includes the Arts Center, South Park Community Center, and Hilltop Needmore Town Park Community Center. All classes, programs, and sports scheduled at these facilities are also canceled. Wake County Government
Wake County will close non-essential county services on Monday, Jan. 26: All non-essential county operations will be closed all day.
